Modi Slams Congress, says Gehlot Lacks Rahul’s Trust

Narendra Modi received applaud from the accommodating crowd at the jam-packed vicinity around the Bhandari Darshak Mandap auditorium (Gandhi Ground) today evening. Modi as usual targeted the Congress and talked about inflation, lack of development and social problems in Rajasthan.
It is the first public meeting of Modi after the announcement of elections. Nearly 1 Lac people had gathered at Gandhi Ground, though BJP claims the figure to be over 2 Lac.
After the short addresses of Gulabchand Kataria and Vasundhra Raje, Narendra Modi took the stage at around 5:15 for his 45 minute speech.
Modi’s speech was focused on targeting the Congress and Rahul Gandhi. Narendra Modi raised several issues related to Inflation, CBI, prices of onions and beneficiary schemes which he said were ‘unsuccessful’ at the ground level.
Targeting both Rahul Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot, Modi said that Rahul Gandhi doesn’t really trust Ashok Gehlot and if he did, he would have informed Gehlot before his visit to Gopalgarh. While making a mockery of Rahul’s Gopalgarh visit, Modi said, “the Prince (Rahul Gandhi) toured Gopalgarh on a stolen motorcycle”.
Touching upon hiked prices of Onion, Modi emphasized that all top onion growing states, viz. Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are ruled by Congress. He said that the hike in onion prices is a calculated plot by the Congress.
Targeting CBI’s role in the Sohrabuddin Case, Modi said that the Congress is misusing CBI and has falsely trapped BJP leader Kataria. Modi said, “Now they (CBI) will soon target Vasundhara”.
The gripping speech of Modi found the support of thousands among the audience. In between his melodramatic speech, Modi was continually conversing with the crowd by asking them questions, thereby converting a monologue into a pseudo dialogue.
Narendra Modi said smilingly, that the Lotus is attached with Goddess Laxmi which is a symbol of wealth; he said Goddess Laxmi will come where there is Lotus, and where Laxmi is present, wealth will follow her.
Gulabchand Kataria, Vasundhara Raje, Kiran Maheshwari, Dhan Singh Rawat, Pramod Samar, Shivram Meena, Arjun Meena, Bhanukumar Shastri and all local and state BJP activists were present at the venue.
